JB4 Map 5 B9 SQ5 Quarter mile
Stock with the Bolts ons the Car did 13.3-13.4 in the quarter mile. Only difference here is JB4 on Map 5 . Mods are CTS catless downpipe, AWE intercooler and full 034 inlet and intake.
This is Full weight Full tank of Gas about E35 in the tank with a passenger. More to come as this car has 0 drivetrain inserts and Michelin Crossclimates 2 which are garbage for 60’ Da was around 2000 as well.

Do bolt ons make a B9 SQ5/S4/S5 faster on a stock tune?
Переглядів 1,3 тис.2 місяці тому
This is my 2019 B9 SQ5. It has a CTS TURBO Catless downpipe, AWE FMIC, 034 Inlet and Intake. Stock Ecu and Tcu tune. Stock SQ5 of my year states a 13.7 quarter mile. This is at 3000 DA and a passenger with being full weight. Shaved almost half a second off a bone stock quarter mile time with bolts ons. Not bad. JB4 is going in and some tests will be done to see what a FBO SQ5 can gain from a JB4.

Amigos tudo bem, qual o modelo do center cap?
Is a tune needed after installing or is it fine to use it without tuning? My car is already stage 1 but planning on getting a downpipe
@@bryce9344 you can run it and it will most likely be fine. But of course it wouldn’t be “recommended” without a tune for it
That manual pulled a little more then i thought it would. Obviously the dsg just shifts sooo much faster. But also no matter how fast tou can shift you lose so much boost shifting the manual and with an is38 thats alot if lost time off the throttle and out of boost. Im not the best with a manual(just bought a new gli 2 weeks ago) but i notice the loss of boost slows me down more then my actrual shifting. Maybe a tune gives you flat foot shifting?
@@dailydrivensedans4875 gearing for roll racing is far superior in manual MK7 and MK7.5 cars. Much better than any of the DSG ones. Doesn’t matter how fast it shifts when the manual has simply better gearing.
God I wish we were neighbors lol
Lmao
What kind of mods u got done lmk bro I have the same car
This was so long ago.. lol But I believe I had all the Stage 2 bolt ons, and then I was OEM IS38 with water meth injection and running an ethanol blend. With tuning where it is today you could easily achieve these times with an Cobb EQT E85 IS38 tune and some drag slicks on a GTI/GLI probably without even any weight reduction
Wonder how it would sound with a res delete. My 7.5R is stock rn, but getting the itch 😅
I did a resonator delete and it was good. Honestly wish it was alittle louder. If your catless and a resonator delete for me would have been perfect.
@@RevolutionMods Thanks! I can't justify spending $$$ on an aftermarket catback. Rather use the money towards other mods. Been looking at both IE and Milltek DPs.
Is ur DP catted?@@RevolutionMods
@@nickelass427 it was catted. Yes
Did u buy the superduper turbo inlet to be able to add the s34 intake? or was it stock
I bought the package for the S34 intake but the intake would work with oem inlet with the right adapter
What do you use for the telemetry?
Dragy
I’ve heard it’s bad for the engine to run a catless downpipes on these cars without a tune accounting for it, is this true?
Never had an issue besides a check engine light and vehicle running alittle richer then usual. But I’ve ran it for over 3-4 months now no problem. I know a few guys here running catless downpipe on stock tune for years with no issue
Is38 man!
My stock S5 wheels weighed 55
How was install process
I removed the lower rain tray/cowel. Whatever you want to call that to have better access. But it was pretty smooth honestly. Took like 30-40 minutes.
If GTI was e85 and dsg would be passing the mustang easy.
it is dsg
It is dsg bud imagine if the mustang was a 10 speed it wouldn’t even be close
Who did you order your spaces from please?
EMD for a Q5
@@RevolutionModsawesome thank you
were you able to get rid of CEL?
Yes with an O2 sensor spacer
delete that ugly cold start dude...it sounds cheap...
What color is that called 😍
Matador Red I believe. It’s a less popular option.
Matador red
swapping those fake exhaust tips are a better idea
its funny how mad people get about them...who cares when the car sounds just fine?
@@themountainbikeinstructor6344 i just gave an opinion, where did you see the "mad" part? Respected modifiers like Donut have said only tards go catless on a daily driven car. You should leave you comment to them. lol
catless is kinda irresponsible, why go catless when you can upgrade the downpipe and just delete the resonator and muffler? OEM cats on the ea839 platform are not even very restrictive
Irresponsible?? LOL. In what way
@@foxxrider250r well..... cats are suppose to help with emission and harmful chemicals from combustion reactions in the engine. And im pretty sure California has laws against removing it.
@@foxxrider250r Removing cats bring much more damage to the environment than it does with increasing power, i would suggest upgrading the intake, manifolds, down pipes, to make a better sound&power
@@IAMDATA1 there's corporations in the world that made more harmful gases yesterday than this guy and his car will in his entire life
I understand what you’re saying, however, HFC are more money $900+ whereas catless downpipes are $500+. Also if you want cheaper sound that is easily reversible, downpipe is a better option than chopping things up.
Vortex turbo (which uses an IS20 housing, but upgraded guts) runs a little stronger overall than the factory IS38.
Konig wheels?
Yes. Hypergrams. I’m running the same just a different color
Man i can't wait till i slap the is38 on my car (DSG + 98 octane tune) .If he had ethanol here i would 100% run on it too :D
That Mustang is going to roll right into a gas station after just those two pulls 4mpg at redline 😅😂🤣😂 the gti will keep on keeping on! Bahahaha 4mpg
i hit 13.5 at 106 on my k03s and a diode mod set to 17 psi. all i did was gut the crappy interior out of the car and run 1 gallon of e85 to 5 gallons of 91 on nitto street radials. way cheaper and just as fast.
Ya the F21 setup didn’t run the greatest cause the tuner I had sent me a corrupting file. And 60’ was god awful. If the car cut a 1.8 60’ it would have been a 12 second setup
@RevolutionMods 1.8 60 ft is my best 60 ft i ever got on nitto drag radials. my average is 1.9 to 2.0. i bet the f21 is a good set up with a good dialed in tune and lighter car. i need to make a decision about what turbo i want. im thinking about turbo concepts 300 whp k04 hybrid. i did changed my transmission to a naturally aspirated 2.0 trans. it has a 4.2 ring and pinion and it allows me to use all 4 gears in the 1/4. so now the car is hitting low 13s on my draggy with a diode. i have not tested it on a full prepped track yet. you might want to considering swapping your trans to a 2.0 and change your 5th gear to a diesel .75 this will give full 4 gears to use in the 1/4. and use a g60 clutch and single mass flywheel if you have not already changed your clutch.
@@vdubsterw2516 I think this pass was a 2.1 or 2.2 60’ car never did good from a dead stop
@@vdubsterw2516 ya 13.5 was my best pass at a 2.2 60’ full weight.
@RevolutionMods and im pretty sure you have a 1.8t transmission with an eha code, which has a 3.8 ring and pinion. so that means your tapping out your 3rd gear at 6800 to 7000 rpms if you are only using 3 gears. unless your tune is set for higher rev limit. so utilizing all 3 gears to their max potential, this means, if you apply more power to the ground you will over rev your 3rd gear and you will have to use low end 4th at the last minute to cross the line. so basically you are now in the same boat that i was if you have the same transmission i was using with 3.8 r and p. all 3 gears maxed out for your power package basically. anymore power added and you have to change your gear ratio to use 4 gears or go big turbo and the massive powerd increase will allow you to use your stock trans with 4 gears. so i solved my low power issue with a little room to grow by using the 2.0 trans. this allows me to get another 20 to 40 hp more without over revving my 4th gear now. all though? what you can do is use a 17 inch wheel with a true 26 inch tall tire and that will give you a little more taller gears to add more power and still use only 3 gears in the 1/4. and if want taller, you can go to a 15 inch wheel and use a 27 inch tall tire for more added power on the sttock trans.
no cel? pass inspection with that dp?
I had a CEL
@@RevolutionMods wont the cel go away with a tune?
@@zactastic4life not with any cobb tune but other companies I believe so
Okay, I like my EA888 engines and how good they are but lets get real. You are not beating a stage 2 135i with the N54 engine ☠☠ Stage 2 93 100-200 is 8.5, on e30, you are looking at 100-200 high 7's stage 2 mk7 GTI with the IS20 turbo, you are at 11's 100-200, so something is wrong here LMFAO
I was doing easy 8.5s 100-200 stock IS20. Maybe an OTS tuned MK7 but my setup was far from that.
@@RevolutionMods Ohh you had a custom tune? If so that makes sense Also oi, saw that "Sad boy" comment, it was just confused on why a 135i lost, like I own a S3 8V with the EA888 so I like them but just couldn't believe how it could beat a 135i but I'm not tuned tho
@@QUIKCaspa S3 Stage 2 on a good tune can do 8s all day 100-200. Also just confirmed after a quick UA-cam search that a few golf R/S3 stage 2 were running 7.50s 100-200

Audi and their fake exhausts... Though I do love that they say the exhaust tips on the RS models are a feature because all the other models all have fake exhausts like this one. Guess its too much work to make a design for each car they make... which would make sense given each of their cars is exactly the same as the other and are given different names. Laziest big automotive name in the business.
New SQ5’s actually have a real set of exhaust tips on them
@@RevolutionModsThey do it so in a rear end collision the exhaust doesn’t get damaged

Sounds awesome. Refined but just enough growl
Looks/sounds great! Mine just showed up for my S4. Did you do the coupler support bracket? Any bending required? Slightly different vehicle than mine I know but just curious.
I did not do the support bracket as it totally didn’t seem necessary and seemed like a total pain in the butt to install properly

downpipe + stock catback is the best setup on this car
for me I really wish it was louder with valves open, but I mean its not for everyone lol
cant argue with that but neighbors and people around are really annoyed :D
Had a driver complaint on a semi-truck that the truck shakes from the rear at highway speeds. One of the tire re-caps on the drive axle blew apart leaving the tire with 1/4 of its tread still attached to the tire. The driver had to have kept driving for awhile because the cords were showing everywhere except the tread. What really amazed me was the tire was still holding 100psi. That tire was holding on for dear life
😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣👍👍🥴
How’s the ride? Any issues?
